The JSC visited the Kenya Judiciary Academy (KJA) headquarters, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing judicial training and professional development. Through the KJA, the JSC fulfils its constitutional mandate to design and implement continuing education programs for judges and judicial officers, ensuring a highly skilled and competent Judiciary.
During the visit, KJA Director General, Hon. Justice Smokin Wanjala and his team provided a comprehensive briefing on the Academy’s programs, training initiatives and infrastructure. The discussions focused on strengthening the Academy’s capacity to deliver cutting-edge judicial education aligned with global best practices.
The JSC commended the KJA staff for their dedication and service, recognizing their critical role in shaping judicial excellence. The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and facilitating KJA’s transformation into a regional and internationally recognized center for judicial excellence, ensuring continuous professional growth within the Judiciary.
