VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Judicial Service Commission is established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, with a mandate of promoting and facilitating the independence and accountability of the Judiciary, and the efficient, effective and transparent Administration of Justice.

The Commission invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the positions of:

Position CHAIRPERSON, SPORTS DISPUTES TRIBUNAL

No of Positions 1

Under Section 56 of the Sports Act No.25 of 2013, the term of service for the Members of the Sports Disputes Tribunal shall be five (5) years on a part-time basis and may be reappointed for a further term of five (5) years subject to satisfactory performance

Position MEMBER SPORTS DISPUTES TRIBUNAL–(NON-ADVOCATE)

Under Section 25 (6) (a) of the HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control (2006), the terms of service for the Members of HIV and AIDS Tribunal shall be three (3) years from the date of the appointment.

Under Section 35 (3) of the Nairobi International Financial Centre Act (Cap. 495), the term of service for the Member shall be appointed for a term of three years renewable for one further term of three years.

Under Section 40(c) and (1A) of the Kenya National Examinations Council Act (Cap) (214A), a Member of the Tribunal shall serve for a term of three years and shall be eligible for reappointment for one further term of three years.
