The Chief Justice and Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission Hon. Martha Koome, EGH led Members of the Commission in a high-level engagement with the National Treasury, led by Cabinet Secretary Hon. FCPA John Mbadi, EGH to advance strategic collaboration on strengthening the effective and efficient administration of justice. The discussions focused on enhancing financial support to the Commission as it discharges its constitutional mandate, including the recruitment of Judges and Tribunal members, targeted capacity building in preparation for the upcoming elections, and addressing persistent funding constraints that continue to impede the delivery of judicial services. The meeting also underscored the need for adequate, predictable, and timely funding for the Judiciary to sustain service delivery, strengthen institutional capacity and safeguard judicial independence.
