The Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) has re-elected Hon. Everlyne Olwande as its representative to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), pursuant to Article 171(2)(d) of the Constitution. Hon. Olwande secured a second five-year term in an election held on Saturday, 18th October 2025.
Her re-election signals a strong vote of confidence from Judicial Officers in her stewardship and continued representation. Hon. Olwande first joined the Commission on 15th January 2021.
A seasoned Judicial Officer, Hon. Olwande currently serves as a Chief Magistrate, a position she assumed in December 2020. Over the course of her distinguished career, she has risen through the ranks, having previously served as Senior Principal Magistrate, Principal Magistrate, Senior Resident Magistrate and Resident Magistrate.
