The Judicial Service Commission has today commenced promotional interviews for Judicial Officers as part of efforts to enhance their pecuniary jurisdiction. This initiative is designed to equip officers to handle matters of higher value and complexity, thereby strengthening the overall administration of justice.
Beyond operational efficiency, this process reflects the Commission’s continued commitment to fostering career progression within the Judiciary and recognizing high-performing officers.
A total of 167 Judicial Officers are scheduled to be interviewed by the Commission between 4th and 13th August 2025. The interviews cover the following job cadres:
• Senior Principal Magistrate to Chief Magistrate – 32 officers
• Principal Magistrate to Senior Principal Magistrate – 38 officers
• Resident / Senior Resident / Principal Magistrate to Senior Resident / Principal / Senior Principal Magistrate – 38 officers
• Senior Resident Kadhi / Principal Kadhi / Magistrate to Principal Kadhi / Senior Principal Kadhi / Magistrate – 59 officers
