The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) today commenced public participation on the proposed budget for the Financial Year 2027/2028 and the Medium-Term in Lamu County.
Representatives from Court Users Committees, youth, women, persons with disabilities, the clergy, children, the County Government and other stakeholders presented their priority justice needs and shared perspectives on how resources can be better aligned with the needs of the people.
The engagement provided an important opportunity for Kenyans to contribute to the priorities that inform the administration and delivery of justice. The views and feedback received will inform the Commission’s strategic priorities and guide the allocation of resources to areas where they can have the greatest impact.
Through the engagement, the JSC remains committed to ensuring that the voices and aspirations of the people of Kenya remain at the centre of its decisions as it discharges its constitutional mandate and works towards a more accessible, responsive and people-centred justice system.
