LSK Bomet Welcomes JSC Assurances, Expresses Confidence in Judiciary Reforms

The Chairman of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Bomet Chapter, Rogers Mugumya, expressed confidence that the concerns raised by the Society will be resolved. He particularly welcomed the Judicial Service Commission’s assurance to Judiciary personnel, quoting the Commission’s statement:

“To all Judges, Judicial Officers and members of staff, we urge you to continue serving with courage, professionalism and courtesy, guided by your Oath of Office and the Constitution. The Commission will stand by every Judge, Judicial Officer and member of staff who faithfully discharges their constitutional mandate with integrity and professionalism.”

Mr. Mugumya also commended the JSC for its unwavering commitment to promoting an effective, efficient and transparent administration of justice. He lauded the Commission’s recruitment of additional Environment and Land Court (ELC) Judges, which enabled the deployment of an ELC Judge to Bomet, enhancing access to justice for residents. He further applauded the Commission’s intervention in resolving challenges that had stalled the construction of the Bomet Law Courts, allowing the project to resume and move steadily towards completion.
