Hon. Everlyne S. A. Olwande, MBS

Brief info

Hon. Everlyne Olwande first joined the Judicial Service Commission on 15th January 2021 and commenced her second term on 13th January 2026, following her re-election by the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) pursuant to Article 171(2)(d) of the Constitution of Kenya. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Finance, Planning and Administration Committee and is a member of the Human Resource Management Committee and the Committee on the Administration of Justice.

Hon. Olwande is a Chief Magistrate, having been appointed to the position in December 2020. Her judicial career spans several ranks, having previously served as a Senior Principal Magistrate, Principal Magistrate, Senior Resident Magistrate, and Resident Magistrate. Prior to her appointment to the Judiciary, she practised law as an Associate at J.W. Kagwe & Co. Advocates.

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from South Gujarat University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mohanlal Sukhadia University.
