Hon. Winfridah Boyani Mokaya was sworn-in as the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary in March 2024 for a five-year term.

Prior to her appointment as the Chief Registrar, Hon. Mokaya served as the Registrar of the Judicial Service Commission, a position she assumed in 2012.

Hon. Mokaya, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, joined the Judiciary in 1997, where she rose from a District Magistrate II to Senior Principal Magistrate.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is also a Certified Public Secretary.
