Hon. Lady Justice Fatuma Sichale was elected as Commissioner to the Judicial Service Commission by the Judges of the Court of Appeal pursuant to Article 171 (2) (c) of the Constitution having been sworn in on 5th February 2024.

Justice Sichale was appointed a Judge of Appeal in 2012. She started her career as a District Magistrate Professional II before joining private practice at Sichale & Co. Advocates.
Justice Sichale has previously served as a board member of Kenya Anti-Corruption Authority (KACA); a member of the National Anti-Corruption Steering Committee and as Deputy Director, Kenya Anti-Corruption Authority.
She holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi.
